FCCLA girls had lots of fun cooking for the Ronald McDonald house this year!
This year the Orientation to Family and Consumer Science Class did an amazing job with the unconventional design challenge. Basically they were to use anything BUT fabric to create a wearable piece. Some chose to use recyclables which was really neat as well. Fear Me Not ProjectThis years Child Development class did an amazing job at making Fear Me Not dolls for children in need. These dolls are meant to help young children deal with their fears. After making the dolls they created stories that went along with them that children could relate to. We will be sending these to the Sojourn Shelter.
We were "heatin" it up today in our third annual chili cook off!!! Contestants from Foods 2 classes were judged on the aroma, color, consistency, and flavor. As soon as the scores are tallied I will announce the winning group!!! Good Luck :)
Hi! and welcome to my blog. I plan to use this as another way for me to share some of the great and fun things we are doing in my classes. Make sure to check back for updates on projects we are working and dishes we are serving up! This will be a great way to bring our classroom to you:) The picture is of a snowman that we sewed and constructed in Clothing for the build your own snowman competition at Illini Bank. |
